Wild Diamonds reading

We had a lovely reading of the first draft of my new play for Maggie Norris’s new company The Big House , who work with young people who have been through the care system. Maggie directed my last play HIS TEETH at Only Connect and I’ve always loved working with her and the amazing people she brings into her projects.   The play is called WILD DIAMONDS, and we had a grand old day in the sunshine on Hackney downs reading through the play and talking about it.

Visiting Lecturer in Playwriting, Regent’s School of Drama, Film and Media

Very pleased to say I’ve just been made a Visiting Lecturer in Playwriting at the Regent’s School of Drama, Film and Media (formerly the London School of Film, Media and Performance) at Regent’s University, in Regent’s Park. I’ll be teaching on the MA in Writing for Screen and Stage.

Playwriting Workshops at Sydenham Arts Festival

I’m going to be a guest playwright mentor at the STAGE WRITE PLAYWRITING WORKSHOPS
at the Sydenham Arts Festival, which is very exciting for me as I live in Sydenham and have always wanted to get involved locally. The three workshops (which I think are free) are led by Judy Upton, and I’ll be coming in on the Sunday to work in depth on writer’s plays. The workshops culminate in a showcase of the work at The Hob in Forest Hill on the 10th July. For tickets to the showcase/places on the workshops, please either see the website or contact the box office on 020 3659 0551.
